Activities
1. Weekly meeting
: Every Monday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for all the leaders
of the groups of formation.
2. Conference
: Three times a year (Advent, Lent, Easter) an experienced man
or woman is called in to talk about a relevant issue for the youth.
3. Easter for the
Youth : The 1st of May every Year, is the day of a big
celebration of called : " Easter for the Youth".
4.Soccer Championiship
: In July : Divine Master Soccer Championiship between the 10
youth soccer teams representing the 10 Small Christian Communities
of the parish. Last July 2003, this competition was won by Bolingo
Small Christian Community.
5. Holiday camp
: In August : Holidays Camp outside Kinshasa organized by the
youth chairman in coordination with the Council of the Parish.
For many young men and women, this is the only time they can leave
their slum and discover the calm of a village upcountry. Last
August 2003, the Holidays camp was held in Kisantu which is100
miles away from Kinshasa.
6. Besides the above activities, each movement
or group of formation organizes other particular activities in
the area of their charism or ideal of Life.
Banamasina,
which means in Lingala "youth of Masina", comprises
the following groups of formation :
1. Xaveri movement
2. St Kizito-Anuarite movement called “ KA” for short.
3. Mijerca(youth in the charismatic renewal movement)
4. Bondeko Movement (fraternity movement)
5. Scouts Movement
6. Guides Movement
7. The Libungutulu Circle
8. Gloria Dei choir (Latin youth Choir)
9. The Gloire de Dieu choir (French youth Choir)
10. The Christ the King Choir (Lingala youth choir)
11. The Mama wa Bosawa Lingala Choir (Our lady of Peace)
12. The Acolytes
